Taking the ferry to Lai Chi Woo, a 400-year-old Hakka village. The ferry will cruise through the northeast section of Hong Kong's UNESCO Global Geopark, where you can see the famed Ghost Hand Rock and "Bacon Rock" in Wong Chuk Kok Tsui from a distance.
Lai Chi Wo, with a history of at least 400 years, is one of the oldest, largest, and best-preserved settlements in the north-eastern New Territories. The excursion will allow our clients to travel back in time and experience life in the historic village. For encouraging culture heritage protection, the town received UNESCO's prestigious 2020 Special Recognition for Sustainable Development Award. We'll capture pictures alongside the dramatic mangrove forest and gorgeous coastline landscape as we travel along the tree-shrouded Lai Chi Woo Nature Trail, which is home to many kinds of mammals and butterflies. Furthermore, we will be able to have an authentic Hakka lunch at San Ya Village. (About 30-mins walk from Lai Chi Woo). Following the visit, you will take the ferry back to Ma Liu Shui Pier (Saturday and Sunday) / Shatin Area Landing (Tuesday and Thursday), then a short walk to the nearest MTR station, where the tour will conclude.
