Located in the eastern part of Hong Kong, Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark showcases world-class geo heritage, diverse ecological and cultural landscapes. The High Island Geo Trail at the East Dam of the High Island Reservoir is an appealing route, offering beautiful vistas of the reservoir and the surrounding verdant hills, as well as magnificent hexagonal volcanic rock columns. It is also an ideal location for observing the world-class hexagonal rock columns at close range. Seafood lunch will be arranged in Sai Kung town before the tour to East Dam.

Highlight: The tour will be conducted by our experienced tour guide with ecological and geological qualifications.

Activity Arrangement

Meet at Hang Hau Station-> Take public green van to Sai Kung Town-> Visit The Hong Kong Global UNESCO Global Geo Park Visitor Centre-> Enjoy seafood lunch-> Take Taxi to High Island Reservoir East Dam-> Walk along the High Island Resevoir with our R2G guide and enjoy the rare volcanic rocks, Hexagonal columns-> Hike up to Biu Tsim Kok Viewing Point for a panoramic view at the ancient caldera, High Island Reservoir, Long Ke Wan and Po Pin Chau-> Take taxi back to Sai Kung Town-> Take public green van back to meeting point (or our guide will suggest the ways to go back to the city)
